"ArmorAll" on my fingers!

This Darts Excuse submitted by Scott Kingsbury at 3:50 PM on 2/1/01.
This really happened - and I seriously recommend that darters wear glove if they are going to "ArmorAll" their automobile tires or dashboards on dart night. "ArmorAll" is a compound "dressing" used to shine up plastic, rubber, vinyl, etc....but it also bonds to the skin on your fingers and makes them very slick. It is also very hard to get rid of once it has "bonded" to your skin. All night long I was constantly rubbing my thumb and index finger on the pub carpeting - trying to "rough up" my fingertips. The darts kept slipping out of my fingers!! It was a very long evening, to be sure!
